I grew a beard for several reasons. Firstly, I have a very young-looking face that I thought could use a little distinction. Secondly, when I grew my first beard, none of my circle of friends had one. And finally, for practical reasons, a beard is useful in those chilly winter months.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard and feel bare without it. I have just switched to "friendly mutton-chops" for the first time and I am sure that it will draw some interesting comments at work, but I felt that it was time to try something new. My housemate thinks I look like a 19th century drill-sergeant...which can't be bad....can it?
