I'd been growing little chinny beards, or sideburns for a while, and when I decided to stop fighting male pattern baldness and shave all that off, I guess I subconsciously wanted to compensate.

How do I feel about my beard? I've had all kinds of different styles of beards, but I've had the full beard for about three years now -- it feels appropriate. I love it. I couldn't imagine being without it now. If I trim it a little too much, I feel mortified. Basically, upkeep is a roller coaster of emotions!
