I had wanted to grow a beard since my early teenage years. By fifteen, my sideburns had come in and I was loving life. However, I was still missing patches with regards to a full beard. As years progressed, I experimented with a number of different types of facial hair. However, all I truly wanted was a full beard. Right around my 18th birthday (March 2008), I decided that it was time. Although my beard is not 100% full, I felt I had enough to begin growth.

How do I feel about my beard? I feel as though my beard completes my appearance. I have felt facially naked for years. Now that I have a beard growing in, I can't imagine my life without it. I feel more confident, masculine, and fulfilled.
