Bearded since: 1989. I am an occasional or seasonal beard grower.

I grew my beard because I love beards and I enjoy wearing a beard myself. I notice that I get more attention when socializing, especially when I grow it thicker. It also keeps my face warm while out walking with my dogs in the cold Wisconsin winter months.

How do I feel about my beard? I am generally pleased that I can grow a beard, however we're always our own worst critics. I wish that it grew darker and thicker on the front of my chin, but I must be pleased at what I was given. I plan to keep this beard, probably permanently, perhaps just shorter in the hot humid summer months.
