I was in the Army for a while and was not allowed a beard. After I got, out I went to work as a firefighter and the job requirement would not allow it for I had to wear a respirator. I then left there and went to another fire job in which there was no respirator and was less in the public eye. They allowed us to wear beards and not shave for we spent a lot of time in the woods. I stopped shaving and started growing, maybe out of spite. In the last three years I have shaved less than ten times and trimmed only a few times.

How do I feel about my beard? I love having my beard. I feel strange and out of place without it. The bigger the better. The only drawback is the negativity with the women, if you know what I mean. Some don't mind it to a certain point, but I am proud of it and like it to be big and out of control.
