I grew my beard because beards look and feel great. They project masculinity, ruggedness, and confidence. I admire men with beards. I'm continually impressed by the variety of beards out there (colors, textures, configurations) and pleased to be part of the diverse beard community.
How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I enjoy the positive remarks it brings. I love watching it grow, even the gray hairs. One guy on here said his beard was like a pet. LOL. I can relate!
