Why did I grow my beard? My girlfriend at the time encouraged it. So I went for it. I had kind of a weird, wispy Kurt Cobain beard at age seventeen/eighteen, Was clean shaven for years, and then when I tried it again in later years. It was much more impressive.

How do I feel about my beard? I dig it. I realize that it is a turn-off to half the female population, though. The beard is staying longer than you ever will, honey.
