Since I was young, I've always admired beards. I think they represent manhood. I always wanted a beard. I remember as a young child saying that I couldn't wait to grow up so that I could grow a beard.

I've tried goatees, chin strips, and soul patches multiple times, and I liked them, but it just felt incomplete. I didn't think I could do it. But then I set apart a month and a half. I decided that, no matter how awful it looked, I was NOT shaving.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

How do I feel about my beard? My beard is my best friend.
