Why did I grow my beard? I have been fascinated with beards ever since I was a small child. It's just the manly thing to do. I first grew mutton chops in the ninth grade, as that was all I could grow. I rocked the chops for a good seven years and incorporated a goatee at one time. Once my mustache had grown in enough for my liking I started growing a full beard. Since growing the full beard, I am more addressed as sir by my elders, younger peers, as well as from the same age. As I am only twenty-five, being addressed as sir, especially by my elders is quite an honor.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard. I am the only one in my family thus far to have a ginger beard. At times I wish it grew a little faster, but am overall pleased. I was most pleased since I had mutton chops in the ninth grade to outrank my fellow class mates who had the occasional wild beard hair. Love my beard!! Would never think about shaving it.
