Once I got out of the military after four years of service, I decided that I wanted to start growing a beard as a symbol of my transition back into civilian life. I kept it because it set me apart from my peers, and looked great.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. It is a part of my self-image that I couldn't imagine myself without.
