I recently purchased a DVD of the Grateful Dead's 1978 live concert, The Closing Of Winterland. Frontman Jerry Garcia's wild hair, beard, and aviator shades were nothing short of inspiring. I decided to grow my beard and see if I could create a cool '70s look for myself.

How do I feel about my beard? It feels great. Still a bit itchy, but that is starting to subside. I feel I need to start trimming it, but don't want to make any major mistakes. The beard hair is so thick, one mistake with the clippers could put a hole in the beard.
