I grew my beard because I've wanted one since I was about ten or so. I think beards look great on most men. I love having one because it's rather unique (chinstrap style) around where I live, and it's also common to my religious tradition (orthodox Christianity). It also helps define my face.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I just wish it would be a bit thicker. I wear my beard in the chinstrap style because I can't grow a good mustache or much hair on my cheeks. I've had a soul patch in the past, but love what I have now.
