I never thought I'd be able to grow much of a beard. So mine started as a bet with a friend: who can go longest without shaving? He shaved within a week; I let my beard grow all summer and have rarely been without it since.

How do I feel about my beard? It enhances my appearance by obscuring my chubby cheeks. So it works in my favor!
